Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m., followed by a period for public comment.  All interested individuals, groups and agencies are encouraged to attend and will be given the opportunity to provide formal public comment on the revised draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) and the proposed operational revisions to Lake Okeechobee Regulation Schedule.  In accordance with the approved study scope, only potential operational changes to the current water management system were considered; structural modifications were not considered.

Proposed revisions to the Water Control Plan include a new regulation schedule that would replace the existing Water Supply Environment (WSE) regulation schedule and associated operational guidance. The draft regulation schedule and operational guidance were analyzed in the draft SEIS.  If the draft SEIS leads to a Record of Decision, then a request for approval of the new water control plan for Lake Okeechobee and Everglades Agricultural Area will be submitted to the Corps’ South Atlantic Division.
