About the Speakers:
Kenneth Hudnell, PhD, Neurotoxicologist , US EPA
Dr. Hudnell is an internationally know expert on freshwater harmful algal blooms (HABs) and the toxins they produce. He has presented his research on Cyanobacterial HABs through publications, symposiums, and at White House subcommittee briefings on several occasions. Dr. Hudnell has been a researcher in the National Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory of the U. S. EPA since 1984.
Andrew Reich, MS, MSPH, Coordinator Aquatic Toxins Program, Florida DOH
Mr. Reich has lectured throughout Florida on the health impacts of Red Tide and Freshwater Algae. He has been the Florida Department of Health, Aquatic Toxins Program Coordinator since 2004. His responsibilities include the technical, investigative, and analytical aspects of the statewide surveillance of harmful algal blooms (HABs) and their related toxins such as Red Tide Toxin and Cyanobacteria.
